In Session. Business Council Representatives of the Government, key ministries and agencies, U.S. State Department delegate J. Henick, Executive Director of the Business Council E. Stewart, top managers of U.S. companies participated in the event.
The participants of the talks stated that it was necessary to diversify economic cooperation. The Turkmen foreign minister emphasized Turkmenistan's desire to expand partnerships with U.S. companies, and noted the importance of the Business Council, established in 2008, in strengthening business ties between the two countries.
During today's negotiating session the following took place Specialized virtual meetings of American businessmen and representatives of the Government of Turkmenistan, heads of the agricultural sector and banks.
In addition to the trade and economic section, today the delegates of Turkmenistan and the United States discussed humanitarian character, the nuances of labor law norms, opportunities for the development of cultural exchange, the tasks of protection and rational use of the objects of the cultural and historical heritage of Turkmenistan.
The key topic of yesterday's talks was regional security. The postulate of the integrity of security, on which Turkmenistan relies because of its status of permanent neutrality, was characterized.
The initiatives of our state in the format of UN programs on Strengthening security in Central Asia and the Caspian region.
The parties considered topical issues of global and regional security and counter-terrorism.
The focus is on building a peaceful life in Afghanistan. In this regard, the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan to provide a political platform to ensure the peace negotiation process is important. The successes of the negotiation formats were also positively assessed "CA + U.S." и "Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-US".
