Turkmenistan and Tajikistan discuss resumption of air service

During the talks between the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda, which took place within the framework of his official visit to Tajikistan, the prospects and possibility of resuming direct air service between the countries were discussed. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.

Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the expediency of further exploring the opportunities for direct and transit flights between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.

In addition, the meeting touched upon the formation of new transportation routes through the territories of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan and continuation of cooperation in the spheres of rail and road transport.
