Turkmenistan and Tajikistan held a business forum in Dushanbe

A Turkmen-Tajik business forum was held in the conference hall of the National Library of Tajikistan on May 8 on the eve of the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Dushanbe. The Turkmen delegation was represented by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Atdayev, while the Tajik side was represented by Deputy Prime Minister U. Usmonzoda. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The forum was attended by more than 250 representatives of private and state business from Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

Investment opportunities of the two countries were presented in the presentations "Socio-economic Development of Turkmenistan" and "Investment Opportunities of the Republic of Tajikistan". Energy, industry, agriculture, transportation logistics and communications were named as promising areas for investment.

During the forum, business representatives held a number of business negotiations, which resulted in the signing of agreements.
