Turkmenistan initiated a meeting on cooperation in the field of sustainable transport

On April 17, a high-level meeting on cooperation in the field of sustainable transport was held in the UN General Assembly Hall at the initiative of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by heads of specialized international organizations, national ministries and departments of the transport sector, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions of UN member states.

The Meeting considered actions to implement the UN Decade on Sustainable Transport for 2026-2035. Attention was paid to increasing investment in the transport sector, development of multimodal transport corridors, expanding access to modern public transport and other issues.
