Turkmenistan has sent 125 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan this week, the Turkmenistan: Golden Age online edition reported.
The humanitarian caravan includes medicines, pharmaceuticals, food cargo, textiles. The humanitarian aid was provided in accordance with the Order of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
In addition to material assistance, medical workers from the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan will be sent to the maternity hospital built by Turkmen specialists in 2016 to provide therapeutic and consultative assistance.
The charitable action is aimed at maintaining and strengthening friendly and good-neighborly relations with the brotherly people of Afghanistan. This assistance is based on humanistic principles and is a continuation of Turkmenistan's consistent long-term activities to help the Afghan people.
