Turkmenistan participated in the UN General Assembly meeting on environmental issues

On March 29-31, the Turkmen delegation headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova took part in the UN General Assembly meeting on reducing waste to zero, held in New York. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

On March 29, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan met with Assistant Secretary General and the leadership of the Counter-Terrorism Directorate N. Herman. Within the framework of the visit the issues of cooperation with the UN on combating terrorism were discussed.

M. Byashimova and M. Yench also met to work out ways to develop relations between Turkmenistan and the UNRCCA in strengthening peace and security in Central Asia.

On March 30, two meetings were held. Turkmenistan chaired a meeting on reducing waste to zero. The Turkmen side's speech announced the measures taken within the framework of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

An event was held on the occasion of the International Day for a Waste-Free World, where the Turkmen delegation presented the new city of Arkadag.
