Delegates from Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy R. Nuryagdyev, participated in the 87th meeting of the CIS Economic Council. The participants in the event, which was held in the video format, considered a number of topics affecting various areas of mutual cooperation of the CIS member states and a list of important documents.
A total of 18 issues were on the agenda of the regular meeting of the CIS EC. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, head of the Ministry of Economic Development J. Kuchkarov. Delegates from Turkmenistan, Armenia, Belarus, the Russian Federation, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Azerbaijan were present. The meeting was also attended by the head of the CIS Executive Council, S.Lebedev.
The participants of the videoconference discussed the results of the Strategy of economic development of the Commonwealth worked out for the period until 2020 and the new 5-year phase of a similar Strategy until 2030. Representatives of the Commonwealth member states considered the draft of the Interstate program of partnership in the innovation segment until 2030.
Some of the documents considered during these negotiations will be presented to the Council of Heads of Government, which will also consider them at its meeting scheduled for November 2020. And the next congress of the Commonwealth ES will be held in Moscow in December of this year.
