Turkmenistan will take measures to deepen cooperation with the UN

During the online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on December 22, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov noted in his report to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov about the adoption of a number of measures aimed at expanding the agenda of cooperation with the United Nations. This is reported by the State News Agency "Turkmenistan Today".

Р. Meredov told in his report about the formation of a working group within the UN, which will include representatives of countries from the Group of Friends of Neutrality. The created body is intended to determine the most important vectors and content of the Global Security Strategy.

It was also noted that in the first quarter of the coming year Turkmenistan together with the UN will start preparing the Framework Program of Cooperation with the Organization for 2026-2030. The Roadmap on topical issues and agreements of the SOR-28 conference will also be developed.
