Turkmenistan presented a report on the situation in the social and labor sphere at a meeting of the advisory council on labor, employment and social protection of the CIS countries. This is reported by the Internet publication "CentralAsia.news".
In order to improve the social situation in the country, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was adopted. About 75% of budget funds are allocated to the development of the social sphere, spending on education, health care and social protection has been increased, and construction of kindergartens, schools, housing and health care facilities continues. More than 24% of the working population is employed in state institutions, 76% - in the private sector and agriculture. In order to simplify job search, an "Employment Portal" has been opened on the official website of the Ministry.
Turkmenistan cooperates with ILO and is also preparing memorandums of cooperation with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the area of pensions.
