Turkmenistan participates in training on UNESCO's intangible heritage

Representatives of the Central Asian Five countries from August 20 to 23 take part in the training on preparation of nomination files for the 2003 Convention on Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists in Kyrgyzstan. This is reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."

The Turkmen delegation included specialists from the Ministry of Culture and the National Commission for UNESCO. During the training, participants will examine the specifics of the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding and the Register of Best Safeguarding Practices. In addition, participants will develop joint multinational nomination files.

The meeting is held within the framework of the project "Silk Road Heritage Corridors in Central Asia - International Dimension of the European Year of Cultural Heritage".
