Chinar Rustemova, Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, represented Turkmenistan at the 10th meeting of the UNESCO Memory of the World Committee for Asia and the Pacific in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. This is reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Mongolia in cooperation with the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO. The meeting was attended by representatives of 23 UNESCO Member States.
During the opening ceremony, Chinar Rustemova spoke about the work done in Turkmenistan over the past three years to implement the international program "Memory of the World" of UNESCO.
The meeting also included elections to the governing bodies of the MOWCAP program from candidates proposed by the participating countries.
