Turkmenistan participated in the UNESCO conference on cultural expression

On June 6 this year, the Ninth Session of the Conference of Parties to the Convention on Cultural Expression began at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, which was attended by Turkmenistan's Permanent Representative to UNESCO M. Charyev. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

During the event, members of the Bureau were elected, the agenda was adopted and the report of the 8th session for 2021-2023 was read. During this period, Pakistan, Turkmenistan and Capo Verde joined the Convention.

During the 9th session, from June 6 to 8, it is planned to examine the implementation of the Convention and cultural challenges in the post-pandemic period.

The countries Parties to the Convention have already discussed the possibilities of enhancing the diversity of cultural expressions in the digital environment. Preferences for cultural goods and services, strengthening the status of artists and cultural professionals were also raised.
