Ashgabat, July 16 - Arzuw.news. Turkmenistan under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is actively strengthening international cooperation to achieve the global Sustainable Development Goals until 2030, demonstrating significant progress in the field of food security. This is reported by the publication Turkmenistan: Golden Age.
This year, Turkmen farmers delivered more than 1 million 400 thousand tons of wheat to the state, which ensured food abundance in the country. This result became possible due to large-scale reforms in agriculture, including modernization of the sector, renewal of the technical park of the agro-industrial complex and introduction of innovative digital technologies.
The country is developing close cooperation with the United Nations and its specialized structures, especially the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in the field of food security. Last November, Ashgabat hosted the International Conference "Cooperation on Food Security in the Context of Climate Change".
Turkmenistan's achievements in the agrarian sphere are presented in the National Pavilion at the World Expo-2025 in Osaka, Japan. The Republic is implementing the National Strategy on Climate Change and the National Forest Program, paying special attention to rational land and water use.
Turkmenistan took the initiative to establish the UN Regional Climate Technology Center for Central Asia. The issues of global food security are included in the Concept of Turkmenistan's activities within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Confidence associated with the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality.
