Students from Turkmenistan, Eldar Aliev and Allabay Amanmukhammetov, students at the Faculty of Law of Chuvash State University named after I.N. Ulyanov (Russian Federation), performed a courageous act. They received letters of appreciation from the university administration for preventing crimes against human life and health.
The university, where the Turkmen students study, received a letter of gratitude from Tatiana Aksanova. Aliyev and Amanmuhammetov saved her from death, and they detained the criminal and handed him over to the police.
The students' civic responsibility and their fortitude under extraordinary circumstances were noted with letters of thanks from the Rector of Chuvash State University. The Chuvash law-enforcement officers sent letters of appreciation to the families of Aliev and Amanmuhammetov for raising their sons to be real people. The heroes were honored through a video conference, so their relatives could watch the celebration from thousands of kilometers away.
Rector of the university Andrei Aleksandrov noted that such actions of ordinary-looking people encourage young people to show active citizenship, to be active and not indifferent.
