The annual meeting of deputy foreign ministers of the Central Asian region, organized by the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) with the support of the Kyrgyz government, was held on 27-28 November. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of peace and security in Central Asia, the situation in Afghanistan and cooperation between the UNRCCA and the governments of Central Asia in the field of preventive diplomacy.
The Fifth Dialogue between Central Asian Governments and Youth also took place. During Myahri Byashimova's visit to the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, the possibility of developing a Memorandum of Understanding between the Academy and the Turkmen university was considered.
