Turkmen athletes will go to the USA for the World Wushu Championship

The country's Wushu Cup ended in Turkmenistan on October 8, the winners of which will prepare for the World Championship in the United States, scheduled for November this year. This is reported by the online publication "Türkmenistan Habarlar Portaly".

About 150 athletes from all regions of the country took part in wushu competitions in Ashgabat. The struggle for titles took place in sanda duels. The first in the team standings were the capital's athletes with 13 victories. The second place with three victories was taken by representatives of Akhal velayat, the third place with two victories was taken by athletes from Lebap velayat.

Currently, more than 2000 people are practicing wushu in Turkmenistan, trained by more than 40 experienced mentors. The Wushu Federation of Turkmenistan will celebrate its thirtieth anniversary next year.
