Turkmen Consul General meets with the Governor of Istanbul

Consul General of Turkmenistan in Turkey Muhammetnur Ovezov met with Istanbul Governor Davud Gul in the building of Istanbul Municipality today. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

During the talks, the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres and in the field of education. The possibility of establishing twinning ties between the cities of Arkadag of Turkmenistan and Istanbul of the Republic of Turkey was considered. In addition, the sides considered the possibility of holding joint events aimed at supporting the Turkmen Diaspora in Turkey.

In the course of the meeting, the plan of joint activities for 2024, declared in Turkmenistan as the year of the "Treasure of the Mind of Makhtumkuli Fraghi", was considered.
