The meeting of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Paris Maksat Chariev with the senators of the French Republic was held on February 9, 2023. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the inter-parliamentary friendship group "France - Central Asia" Hervé Morey, Senator Arnaud de Belenet, Vice President of the Senate for Economic Affairs, Senator Frank Menonville. The central topics of the meeting were further strengthening of the inter-parliamentary format of interaction and implementation of the agreements reached in Ashgabat during the visit of the French Senate delegation last December.
Maksat Charyev familiarized the French side with the constitutional amendments that were adopted and came into force in Turkmenistan, determining the further development of the country. The Ambassador spoke about the powers of the established body of people's power Khalk Maslakhaty, emphasizing the great opportunities given to the general public in making the most important state decisions.
