Turkmen poet's corner opened in Pakistani university

A corner of 'Makhtumkuli Fraghi' was inaugurated at Allama Iqbal Open University of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan October 24. It is reported Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

An international scientific-practical conference was held on the theme "Classic Poets of the Eastern World: The Intellectual Heritage of Makhtumkuli Fraghi and Allam Iqbal", the guests of which were Federal Secretary for National Heritage and Culture Hasan Nasir Jami, President of the Pakistan Institute of Peace Research and Diplomacy Farhat Asif, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov, as well as representatives of universities and research institutes of both countries, heads and representatives of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Pakistan and journalists.

At the end of the event, the Turkmen Embassy presented souvenirs in honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi.
