Tourist flow to Turkmenistan increased

Expert, manager and guide of the Turkmen tourist company Suwara Rustam Valiyev told about the increase in tourist flow to Turkmenistan after the pandemic. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.

According to the expert, until 2020, the annual tourist inflow to Turkmenistan increased by 15-20%. In 2023 and 2024, the growth of tourist flow is 35-40%.

Rustam Valiev told about the launch of a premium-class tourist train for foreign guests, which gives tourists an opportunity to get acquainted with the beauty of the whole country in a short period of time. A "soft" border crossing is organized for guests of Turkmenistan - all customs and migration procedures are carried out without queues immediately upon entering the country. The three-day excursion includes a visit to the monuments of Ancient Merv, familiarization with the peculiarities of national handicrafts, dutar and gyjak games. Tourists will visit the Oriental bazaar and get acquainted with the culinary traditions of Turkmen cuisine, as well as a fascinating excursion to the sights of Ashgabat.
