On December 12, the world celebrates the Neutrality Day, which was approved by the UN at the suggestion of Turkmenistan. That is why the International Neutrality Day coincides with Turkmenistan gaining its neutral status. This year was the 27th anniversary of the establishment of permanent neutrality in the country.
On the festive day, celebrations began in Ashgabat near the Neutrality Monument. Turkmen President Serdar Berdymukhamedov laid flowers at the monument and addressed his compatriots with a festive speech. He called the model of Turkmenistan's neutrality a model for the whole world, and emphasized the country's rich experience in new forms of international cooperation that has been acquired in recent years.
The final part of the festivities was a big concert in the Mukamov Palace. The audience was shown a multicultural modern show, the numbers for which were chosen in accordance with the atmosphere and spirit of the holiday.
