The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Ravshanbek Alimov - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan - at the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan on January 7, 2025. This is reported on the website The country's foreign ministry. 

The interlocutors emphasized the significance of the current meeting at the beginning of the year declared "International Year of Peace and Trust" at the 63rd plenary meeting of the 78th session of the UNGA, which was held in March last year on Turkmenistan's initiative.

In this regard, Rashid Meredov noted Turkmenistan's readiness to cooperate with Uzbekistan on holding events consonant with the spirit of the "International Year of Peace and Trust" in 2025.

The sides also exchanged views on strengthening the partnership ties between the two states in political, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.
