The deputy ministers of health of Turkmenistan and Russia discussed issues related to the prospects for further interstate partnership. They touched on the topics of continuous medical education, global digitalization of the healthcare system, and the development of medical tourism. This was reported by Orient news with reference to the press release of the Russian Health Ministry.
It was noted that strengthening of cooperation between the two countries is carried out in the framework of the signed agreements, an important role in which is played by the partnership of Turkmen specialists with Russia's leading research centers. In 2022 Turkmen doctors visited the leading centers of cardiac surgery, oncology, therapy, ophthalmology and rehabilitation under experience exchange programs.
A new package of agreements is currently being prepared for signing that will regulate Russian-Turkish cooperation in medicine and healthcare in 2023.
