At the Smolny Institute in St. Petersburg, Yevgeny Grigoriev, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations of the northern capital of Russia, awarded written appreciation and gifts to Turkmen students. This is reported on the St. Petersburg portal TopSPB.
The report notes that the awarded students were actively involved in various projects as volunteers, as well as in local competitions, forums and scientific conferences.
In 2020, Turkmenistan and St. Petersburg signed a document on cooperation for 5 years. At present about 2000 students from Turkmenistan receive higher and specialized secondary education in St.Petersburg. In addition, a variety of products manufactured in Turkmenistan, mainly agricultural and petrochemical products, are successfully promoted in the market of Russia's northern capital. At the same time, successful tests of agricultural machinery from St. Petersburg manufacturers are being conducted in the market of Turkmenistan.
It is also worth noting the established direct contacts between St. Petersburg and Turkmenistan on joint educational, research and humanitarian projects.
