Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is paying an official visit to Turkmenistan and Central Asian countries from April 5 to 8, 2021. Turkmenistan established diplomatic relations with Iran in February 1992. The two countries not only border each other along over a thousand kilometers of land, but also neighbor each other on the Caspian Sea. As part of its commitment to good neighborliness, Turkmenistan seeks to maintain and improve relations with Iran in the areas of trade, culture and humanitarian issues.
