Turkmenistan has announced the "Shining Star of the Year" contest among young pop singers and enthusiastic singers. The contest is organized by the Central Council of the Makhtumkuli Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the State Committee for Television, Radio and Cinematography. This is reported in today's Turkmen press.
"The aim of the contest is to promote the selection of talented pop singers, young enthusiastic singers, to create conditions for them to become masters of the world art in the future, as well as to enrich the musical treasury of the Turkmen people," the report says.
The first round of the competition will be held from December 1 to 5, 2022, the second round from December 10 to 15, 2022, and the final round from December 15 to 20, 2022.
The winner of the creative competition and the Grand Prix winner will receive an Ýylyň parlak ýyldyzy cup and an incentive prize.
The "Bright Star of the Year" contest has been held since 2009. The first winner of the contest was "Honored Artist of Turkmenistan" Jahan Tagiyeva.
