The 5th session of the Mejlis was held in Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan held the fifth session of the country's Mejlis of the seventh convocation, during which laws were considered and adopted in accordance with the priorities of the state policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and a comprehensive program to modernize the legislative framework. This is reported by the Internet publication "TurkmenPortal".

The event was attended by representatives of ministries and agencies, as well as mass media. During the meeting, the draft Law "On Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency" was considered, providing for the application of energy efficient technologies and introduction of energy management in Turkmenistan.

The draft law "On Hydrometeorological Activity" was also considered, which will determine the legal basis for the provision of information on hydrometeorological activity and the state of the environment. Other draft laws were also put on the agenda and considered.
