A round table for the media was held in Turkmenistan

The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a round table on "New forms of interaction in the international information space". This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Representatives of international and Turkmen media, specialized ministries and agencies, press attachés of diplomatic missions, experts in the field of information and communication policy, teachers and students of universities were invited to participate in the forum.

The agenda of the forum included issues related to international information activities.
The round table focused on the importance of the media in the modern media space, the need to promote reliable news about Turkmenistan in the digital space at the global level, the emergence of new formats and standards of broadcasting in the print and electronic press.

Attention was focused on "cleaning" the information space, preventing fake throw-ins, and fighting disinformation.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova, OSCE international experts Marek Beckerman, Jakub Parusinski, Ambassador John MacGregor and other speakers spoke at the forum.
