For the first time in Turkmenistan, the othe competition among children and adolescents studying French. The event is timed to coincide with the celebration of the International Day of Francophonie. The French Institute in Turkmenistan (FIT) is the organizer of the language competition.
Francophonie is a holiday to unite all French-speaking people of the world. It is held annually on March 20. The events held within its framework allow everyone who is confident in their knowledge of French to demonstrate not only their level of French, but also to tell about the history of its formation and development.
Children and teenagers studying French in educational institutions of Turkmenistan and FIT are invited to participate in the Olympiad. The language competitions will be held in the last days of March and early April and will be divided into three stages. The theme of the competition is "A Sip of Air". French language devotees can prove themselves in an essay, a song or a drawing, all of which are included in the "Francophonie-2021" categories. In addition to the level of foreign language proficiency, the committee will also consider the originality of the work and how it corresponds to the key theme and the competition rules when selecting the winners.
The French Institute in Turkmenistan plans to hold a detailed presentation of the Olympiad this coming Monday, Feb. 22, telling more about its rules. The event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the FIT building. It is open to anyone who intends to compete.
