Turkmenistan introduces visa privileges for UN employees

On February 28, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov signed a decree simplifying visa requirements for UN employees and foreign nationals with UN passports working or temporarily staying in Turkmenistan.

As of today, these persons have been given the opportunity to arrive, stay, leave and transit through our country for 30 days without a visa. In addition, employees of the UN and its structures, together with their family members can stay without a visa for the period of work in our country.

The regulatory framework will be updated after proposals from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Migration Service and other ministries and departments are to be submitted within a month.

Visa incentives are aimed at creating optimal conditions for UN employees to further develop interaction.
