Elections of deputies to the Mejlis completed in Turkmenistan

Yesterday, July 7, 2024, Turkmenistan successfully held elections of early retired deputies to the country's Majlis in three constituencies. The voter turnout amounted to 91,32%. This was reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age." 

Voting started at 7.00 a.m. Ashgabat time at 60 polling stations. In Ashgabat's Garaşsyzlyk constituency No. 1 91,84% citizens voted, in Bitaraplyk constituency No. 2 90,69% voters came to the polling stations, in Köpetdag constituency No. 6 91,46% people cast their votes.

It should be reminded that in each of the three constituencies several candidates for the Majlis were running, which made it possible to ensure the alternative nature of the elections.
