In the Grand Hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory, the Chamber Ensemble Department organized a concert dedicated to the anniversary of Russian composer Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninov. The event was held on his birthday on April 1. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
This concert opens the Rakhmaninov Spring cultural festival. Cultural events will be held in Ashgabat, as well as in Lebap, Dashoguz and Mary velayats.
People's and honored artists of Turkmenistan as well as schoolchildren took part in the concert on April 1. People's Artists of Turkmenistan Orazgul Annamuradova and Gulnar Nuryeva, laureate of international contests Ashir Ashirov and laureate of "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry" Amangeldy Amanova could be seen on the stage.
The concert program included Rachmaninoff's First and Second Concerti, the work "Vocalize" performed on the violin, as well as the duet of Zemfira and Aleko from the opera "Aleko".
