During his speech at the Majlis of Turkmenistan on January 30, Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin emphasized the strategic nature of cooperation between the two countries, which is based on the principles of mutual respect, trust and equality. This was reported by the news agency TASS.
The chairman of the State Duma said that the strengthening of relations with Turkmenistan is one of the priorities of the Russian Federation. Volodin also noted that Russia is one of the five most important trade partners of Turkmenistan, and thanks to the agreements reached between the countries, the volume of mutual trade turnover is expected to increase.
Глава российской делегации также подчеркнул важное значение взаимодействия с Туркменистаном в нефтегазовой отрасли и энергетике, в том числе – в сфере разработки новых месторождений.
