For the first time in Turkmenistan, a medical center is supplied with solar energy

In the village of Pelvert in the Khalach district of Lebap province, the first medical facility in Turkmenistan, which is supplied with solar energy, has appeared. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The project on continuous supply of clean electricity was implemented by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry together with UNICEF as part of the strategy for climate resilient and sustainable health facilities.

The solar energy system will ensure round-the-clock operation of all medical and non-medical equipment and will allow providing medical assistance even during natural disasters. Solar energy provides an opportunity to reduce carbon emissions, which is in line with the implementation of Turkmenistan's National Strategy on Climate Change.
