Sacred Memory" exhibition organized in Turkmenistan in honor of the Memorial Day

The exhibition "Sacred Memory" has been organized in the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

One part of the exposition is dedicated to the victims of the 1948 Ashgabat earthquake, the second part - to the Geokdepe battle. The earthquake in the capital of Turkmenistan, which occurred 75 years ago, claimed the lives of more than one hundred thousand people. The memory of the victims of the devastating cataclysm is indelible despite the passing years.

Photographs from the "Written Sources" depository deserve special attention. The exhibition of photographs is divided into three parts - before the earthquake, after and during the period of independence.

The exhibition also presents museum exhibits dedicated to the heroism shown by the Turkmen people in the Geokdepe battle of 1881.
