Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan received the new Ambassador of the People's Republic of China

Ashgabat, July 21 - Arzuw.news. Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov held a meeting with the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan Ji Shumin. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the Chinese diplomat presented copies of his credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister. Akhmet Gurbanov congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and assured of Turkmenistan's readiness to provide full support in his diplomatic activities.

The talks centered on the prospects for further strengthening of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and China. The participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of regular high-level contacts for strengthening the political dialogue between the states.

The sides paid special attention to the development of trade and economic cooperation. In particular, the interlocutors expressed mutual interest in expanding cooperation in the energy sector.

At the end of the talks, the participants of the meeting reaffirmed mutual commitment to the course for further development of strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and China.
