On November 11, the Combat Sambo World Cup started in Bishkek. During the two days of the tournament Turkmen sambo wrestlers won gold and two bronze medals.
More than 380 fighters from 52 countries take part in the tournament. The fights are intense, the more joyful and honorable is the award in the form of a gold medal, received on the first day of the competition by the Turkmen sambist Muhammet Kossekov, representing one of the military units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Eighteen athletes fought for the title of world champion in the light weight category, but the Turkmen fighter came out the winner.
Kossekov took the top step of the podium quite deservedly. This 24-year-old sambo wrestler walked a long way to this award. He was well-trained by the best coaches of the Olympic reserve school.
At present, the athlete trains in the sports club of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan "Galkan" under the coaching of Nuryagly Mamedov, a master of sports in sambo.
Bronze awards went to Egenbaev, a member of the National Federation of Martial Arts, and Hodjamukhamedov, a coach at the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports.
