Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov gave the start to the construction of the next section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenebat highway. The Turkmen leader also flew a helicopter over the territory of Ashgabat to see the progress of construction of several new facilities. The Turkmen leader's helicopter landed in Babadaihan region of Akhal province, where construction of the Tedzhen-Mary section of the highway is to begin.
During the flight, President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov inspected a large-scale panorama of the Makhtumkuli Fraghi cultural-park ensemble. It is located in the southern sector of the capital and its landscaping has now reached the finish line. The Turkmen leader toured the giant monument depicting the majestic image of the famous poet. The monument rises in the middle of a large green area - in a few years many conifers will transform the once deserted hills into beautiful groves.
The Turkmen leader paid special attention to the construction of mudflow protection structures near the Vozrozhdeniye JSC complex (Russian Federation). President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's helicopter flew southwest, where the Gurtly housing estate was being built. Having assessed the progress of work, the Turkmen leader went to the north of the capital - the construction of various facilities, including the trade and entertainment center, is going on in this district near the new Karakum Hotel.
On his way to the site where the construction of a new section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenebat highway is about to begin, the head of state toured the agricultural lands of Akhal.
Landing where the Tejen-Mary segment of the pipeline starts, the head of state inspected the work of local farmers planting potatoes in the fields. The Turkmen leader talked to villagers about their concerns and the availability of material and technical resources.
Then Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov headed towards the freeway route. Special equipment for road construction had already been lined up along it and was ready to start the new stage of work. The Turkmen leader also talked to the builders and wished them success in their work. The President appraised the scope and pace of construction of the freeway and announced the start of a new phase of work at the segment. Afterwards, the machines and equipment set to work in unison - they began laying asphalt.
The head of the Turkmen state was introduced to the projects of new roads and related infrastructure - railway crossings, bridges over the Karakum River and other waterways. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov heard reports on the construction of the first stage of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway stretching 203 km and the adjacent facilities, including service points, animal passages, bridges and other facilities. The Turkmen leader gave a number of specific instructions with regard to the submitted projects and the continuation of construction of the high-speed highway, which is to play a significant role in increasing the volume of freight traffic across the country.
The head of state also drove along the autobahn, stopping at a gas station. There he chatted with local toilers. Then the Turkmen leader flew in a helicopter in the direction of the capital of Turkmenistan.
