President of Turkmenistan Signs Regulation of Service to Combat Financing of Terror

On April 29, Ashgabat hosted the signing of the Regulations for the state structure established in 2018 - the Financial Monitoring Service. The leader of Turkmenistan focused the attention of the ministers on the most urgent tasks set in the development of the Regulations on the functioning of the Service.

The document was developed in accordance with amendments to the legislative act "On Combating the Legalization of Criminal Proceeds" and meets the goals set for Turkmenistan in fulfilling its obligations under agreements with foreign partners.

The Financial Monitoring Service was established as part of the state policy to suppress the financing of terrorist associations and the legalization of the proceeds of criminal activity. Another important purpose of the Service is to represent the interests of the state in the international arena.
