Pupils of the specialized boarding school named after S. Turkmenbashi successfully passed the first round of the intellectual international Olympiad in the English language. This was reported by the periodical Neutral Turkmenistan.
A group of students from a specialized educational institution participated in the 1st stage of the Science Olympiad Foundation's International Online English Olympiad. The aim of this intellectual competition is to determine the language knowledge of schoolchildren with an emphasis on grammar.
Participants in the Olympiad had to correctly answer 50 questions aimed at improving their knowledge of grammar and spoken English.
A total of 2 rounds are provided in the Internet Olympiad. All who passed the first round become participants of the Olympic relay, which is scheduled for February. Of the 14 high school students from Ashgabat, 12 students were among the winners of the second stage. Of these, 11 students won the Grand Prix of the competition.
