The premiere of the opera "Arkaç" was held at the National Music and Drama Theater named after Makhtumkuli as part of the "Culture Week-2023". This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The screening of the new play is also dedicated to the celebration of the Day of Culture and Art Workers and the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi.
The opera is based on an ancient folk legend that tells about love, fate and life trials. The author of the literary basis of the opera is playwright Govshutgeldy Danatarov, People's Writer of Turkmenistan.
The musical accompaniment was made by People's Artist of Turkmenistan, composer Khudaynazar Amangeldiev. The performance was directed by Aynazar Batyrov, Honored Art Worker of Turkmenistan. The conductor was the People's Artist of Turkmenistan Kurbanmurad Babayev.
