Turkmenistan's new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Tajikistan A.B. Kochmuradov presented copies of his credentials to Tajik Foreign Minister Sirodjiddin Mukhriddin on Thursday. This was reported by the press service of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Dushanbe.
The Tajik Foreign Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission. He also expressed satisfaction with the high level of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, which are based on mutual respect, trust and cooperation.
The Turkmen ambassador thanked the minister for the warm reception and promised to work on strengthening and developing friendly ties between the two countries.
Turkmenistan and Tajikistan established diplomatic relations in 1993 and have maintained close political dialog and economic partnership since then. Both countries share common views on many regional and global issues and support each other in various international forums.
