Turkmen schoolchildren won one silver and seven bronze medals at the XX International Zhautykov Olympiad in mathematics, physics and computer science in Almaty. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

More than 700 students from schools of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, India, Indonesia and Mongolia took part in the competition.

The Olympiad was held on the basis of the Republican Physics and Mathematics School under the auspices of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn" under the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan and the Almaty City Akimat.

Schoolchildren who showed the best results were awarded a special prize from the Nurlan Kapparov Foundation, diplomas and valuable prizes. A total of 344 medals were awarded.
