The 57th session of the UN Commission on Population and Development was held at the UN headquarters in New York from April 29 to 30 with the participation of the Turkmen delegation headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The theme of the regular session was "The Program of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development and its contribution to the 2030 Agenda". A plenary meeting of the UNGA was also held in honor of the 30th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development.
During her speech, Myahri Byashimova told about national experience in achieving the objectives in accordance with the ICPD+30 Program of Action in the field of population, and put forward proposals to expand multilateral cooperation in this area.
