Dr. Allaberdy Ilyasov, Doctor of Technical Sciences of Turkmenistan, spoke about the country's strategy aimed at achieving the goals of social, economic and environmental growth, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to the consequences of climate change. This was reported by Centralasia.news.
The expert noted that the petrochemical industry of Turkmenistan is actively introducing technologies to provide power plants with energy by using associated gas, which is characterized by high efficiency. The cost-effectiveness of such technology ensures the close location of the power plant to the field or processing plant. Thus, it becomes especially relevant for Seyda Refinery and Turkmenbashi KNPZ.
In addition, butane is extracted from associated gas, oxidized to produce maleic anhydride for use in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, food, household cleaners, additives and stabilizers for fuels and oils.
