Training on digitalization and simplification of trade procedures was held in Ashgabat

UNDP together with the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan held a two-day training on "Trade Development in a Competitive Environment and the Role of Digitalization as a Tool for Trade Facilitation" in Ashgabat within the framework of the joint project "Strengthening Trade Potential of Turkmenistan, Phase II". This is reported by the Internet publication "TurkmenPortal".

The training was conducted by international expert Anahit Smbatyan. In her speech, she emphasized that this training enables the Ministry's specialists to navigate the ever-changing international trade environment. The training also addressed the role of the WTO in regulating trade within the framework of multilateral trade cooperation.

The training also covered such topics as international trade, modern problems of foreign economic relations, trends in digital trade and legal foundations of paperless trade, opportunities of the "single window" system.
