Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Afghanistan Khoja Ovezov held talks with Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaki and General Director of TAPI Pipeline Company Limited Muhammetmyrat Amanov. This was reported by the Internet edition "CentralAsia.news".
The agenda included issues related to practical steps for further implementation of the TAPI project on the territory of Afghanistan. The Minister described the TAPI gas pipeline project as one of the priority projects for the country. In this context, he announced the completion of work on the project by the relevant Afghan agencies and expressed hope that the practical implementation of the project would start as soon as possible.
The Turkmen side confirmed readiness to start work on the construction of a gas pipeline from the Turkmen border to the territory of Afghanistan.
