Ashgabat, August 4 - Arzuw.news. Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov held a meeting with Ivana Zivkovic, Assistant Secretary General and Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and CIS of the UN Development Program. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the talks, the parties discussed key areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNDP. Special emphasis was placed on sustainable development, digital transformation, economic sustainability, inclusive growth and adaptation to climate change.
The participants of the meeting paid considerable attention to the role of the United Nations Development Program in supporting national initiatives of Turkmenistan to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Ivana Zivkovic confirmed UNDP readiness to continue partnership relations and implement joint projects aimed at sustainable development of the regions.
The representative of the international organization also expressed her wishes for the success of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries to be held under the auspices of Turkmenistan.
