Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Uzbekistan Sh. Meredov held a meeting with Health Minister A. Khudayarov to discuss bilateral cooperation in the medical sphere. Arzuw.news reports with reference to Turkmenistan: Golden Age.
The meeting was held on September 10 in Tashkent with the participation of the Turkmen delegation. The parties discussed the prospects of interaction in the field of healthcare, pharmacy, medical education and exchange of professional experience.
The central issue of the talks was the presentation of a large medical cluster in the city of Arkadag. The Turkmen side told about the implementation of this project aimed at conducting scientific research on the development of medicines and production of medical products.
Special attention was paid to the activities of the "Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment" enterprise, which received a certificate of quality conformity from the State Certification System of Turkmenistan.
The presentation of the medical cluster was held in the building of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Surgery named after Academician V. Vakhidov. The event was attended by heads of medical centers of Uzbekistan and local entrepreneurs.
Ambassador Sh. Meredov noted that under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, comprehensive measures are being taken to develop the national healthcare system. The medical cluster in Arkadag represents an innovative initiative for scientific research, development of medical technologies, modern education and introduction of the world's best practices in the field of health care.
