Delegation of Turkmenistan participated in the Ministerial Dialogue "Central Asia + Japan"

Central Asian countries and Japan have reached an agreement to develop renewable energy projects to achieve carbon neutrality in the region. The decision was made at the end of the Second Ministerial Dialogue on Economy and Energy in the format "Central Asia + Japan", which was held today. The event was chaired by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan with the participation of the heads of specialized ministries of the fuel and energy sector of the Central Asian states. The dialogue was organized in a mixed format using video link and personal presence of the participants.

During the talks, the sides discussed strengthening energy cooperation within the framework of the "Central Asia + Japan" format, ways to achieve carbon neutrality in the fuel and energy sector, sustainable economic development and introduction of new technologies.

Based on the results of the meeting, the participants decided to strengthen cooperation between Central Asian countries and Japan in the energy sector, focusing on the development of renewable energy sources.
